NEW YORK -- A woman who works as a NBA security official has filed an employment discrimination lawsuit saying she was relieved of some of her duties after she spurned an advance from women's national coach Geno Auriemma.
Kelley Hardwick is suing Auriemma, the NBA and USA Basketball. The suit was filed Monday in state Supreme Court in Manhattan.
Hardwick says Auriemma, who is coaching the women's Olympic team, tried to kiss her during a 2009 trip to Russia for a basketball tournament, and that she pushed him away.
She says he retaliated by demanding she be removed from overseeing security for the team at the 2012 Summer Games in London.
In a statement, Auriemma said he didn't know about the lawsuit until a media report on it, and had no comment.
